Clinical Quality Indicators among Patients with Mental Illness Following the Implementation of a Patient Centered Medical Home

Description: The following will be presented: a. Data evaluating prevention and chronic disease management quality care indicators within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) among patients with and without mental illness following the national implementation of a patient centered medical home will be presented. b. Thirty-five quality indicators related to preventive care and management of common chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension were included. c. Percentages of patients meeting quality indicators were examined across six mental illness groups: 1) posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), 2) anxiety disorders 3) depression 4) serious mental illness (SMI) 5) substance use disorder (SUD), 6) any mental illness (i.e., diagnoses 1-5). Dr. Ranak Trivedi will be a discussant on the call and available during the Q&A portion. Intended audience: PACT teamlet members, health services researchers, and mental health professionals.
