DaVINCI: Querying Key DoD Concepts in DaVINCI

by Wendy Funk, MS
Seminar date: 4/14/2022

Description: This presentation will focus on key DoD terminology that is used in identifying and stratifying healthcare or the DoD Population. Wendy will also cover how these concepts were cross-walked to OMOP CDM and how they can be queried. Objectives: - Highlight common DoD terminology (e.g., DMIS IDs, MEPRS Codes, Beneficiary Category, PCM, etc.) that is often used in identifying and stratifying healthcare or the DoD population. - Identify sensitive concepts, some of which are often collapsed to reduce risk of re-identification. - Identify limitations in DoD data that cannot be resolved with the data available in DaVINCI - Describe how these concepts have been cross-walked into OMOP CDM and how they can be identified using OMOP standardized (or other) concepts.

Intended Audience: This Cyberseminar will be designed to provide advanced training, information and support for DaVINCI, VINCI users, as well as the larger HSR&D research community.
