Dr. Robertson is a gastroenterologist at the White River Junction VA (White River Junction, VT) and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. He completed his GI fellowship training program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During GI fellowship, he also attended the UNC School of Public Health and earned an MPH in Epidemiology. Prior to GI training, he completed his Medical School, Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Medical Residency all at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT.

Dr. Robertson's research interests are both in the epidemiology of colorectal cancer (he is the Clinical Director of the Calcium and Vitamin D Polyp Prevention Study) and the utility of screening and surveillance for this disease. Although colonoscopy is increasingly performed, his research suggests that the degree of cancer prevention afforded may not be as great as suggested by earlier studies. He also recently received a VA Career Development Award to study the utility of fecal occult blood testing following a normal colonoscopy.
