Dr. Gayle Reiber is an epidemiologist, health services researcher and Senior VA Career Scientist at the HSR&D Center for Innovation for Veteran-Centered and Value-Driven Care. She is the Associate Director at the VA SLC Center of Innovation, “Informatics, Decision-Enhancement and Analytic Science Center” and is also a Professor in the Department of Health Services and Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Her major research includes prevention and treatment of lower limb wounds and amputations. She also conducts research on diabetes self-management and women’s health. Recently she completed a VA VISN-wide service and research teledermatology project covering the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Reiber is involved in mentoring and training the next generation of VA researchers at VA Puget Sound, VA SLC and the University of Washington through VA and NIH training programs.
