Dr. Alex Sox-Harris is a HSR&D Research Career Scientist, Core Faculty at the Center for Innovation to Implementation (Ci2i) at VA Palo Alto, and Director and Research Coordinator of the Substance Use Disorder Quality Enhancement Research Initiative, and Director (PI) of the Cross-QUERI Center on Changing Prescribing Practices. His research interests include quality measure development and validation, unintended consequences in the application of quality measures, surgical health service research, and the development and evaluation of implementation strategies. Dr. Harris has published over 100 journal articles, including pharmacotherapy for alcohol dependence, health care quality measures, health informatics for SUD, and SUD treatment effectiveness.
