Dr. Brent C. Taylor is an Associate Director of the Minneapolis HSR&D COIN (CCDOR), an Associate Professor of Medicine and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Taylor first joined CCDOR as a VA HSR&D Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and now he leads the 11 person CCDOR Statistics and Data Team. During the past decade he has worked closely with junior investigators, clinical and non-clinical fellows, and students from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and Department of Medicine to provide mentoring on quantitative research methods. His active research includes leading a project related to better understanding how OEF/OIF/OND Veterans with traumatic brain injury use VHA health care. He is also actively involved in several large cohort studies involving elderly men and women and in the VA and AHRQ evidence synthesis programs. Throughout all of these research projects he has worked closely with many researchers to apply sound research methodology particularly related to the systematic review and analysis of observational studies.
