Dr. Stephanie Taylor serves as the Greater Los Angeles VA HSRD Associate Director and is a medical sociologist and health services researcher. She has over 20 years’ experience in evaluation, environmental and organizational influences (hospitals, state and local policies, neighborhoods) on health and health service utilization; and implementation; with additional expertise in complementary and integrative medicine and patient safety, public health, social epidemiology, and multi-level modeling. Her current research grants and projects include a national examination of the cost effectiveness of complementary and alternative treatments to address muscular-skeletal pain among Veterans; a national examination of the facilitators, barriers and solutions to those barriers to adopting and implementing complementary and alternative treatments; and a location evaluation of yoga, tai chi, mindfulness-based stress reduction, aromatherapy, and guided imagery among Veterans.
