Dr. Ken Weingardt currently serves as National Director for Mental Health Web Services in the Veterans Health Administration. His team is responsible for developing innovative web-based self-help programs and mobile apps to support the Mental Health needs of Veterans and their families (www.veterantraining.va.gov). He holds an appointment as Consulting Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, and maintains an active program of Health Services research. His research investigates how technology can be used to enhance the effectiveness of clinical training, how internet resources can be used to facilitate patient engagement and self-care, and how the implementation of new technologies is influenced by the social and organizational context of care.
