Description: This seminar will summarize research findings on the association between military risk factors, including traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder, and increased risk of dementia in older female veterans. In addition to reviewing the most up-to-date literature, the presentation will also highlight results from studies of female veterans and discuss implications and future directions. Intended Audience: Clinicians and researchers interested in female veterans’ health and TBI outcomes including those in neurology, psychiatry, and geriatrics.
