Description: HEART is a 7-week program that teaches primary care teams self-care skills including mindfulness, self-compassion, and finding one’s purpose on the healer’s journey. Originally designed to be delivered in person over 12 weeks, the program was redesigned to be delivered virtually and piloted in 4 primary care clinics in VISN 22. We worked with local healthcare system leaders to select sites and develop an evaluation design that accommodated healthcare system leaders’ needs and concerns with clinic staffing and maintaining patient access. This presentation will focus on the early development of the program, strategies for working with operations partners at the national and local level, and provide results from the program evaluation.
