Tai Chi for Veterans: Review of Evidence and Future Directions

Description: This webinar will describe Tai Chi and provide a brief overview of evidence to support its use. We will provide results from a feasibility study to evaluate the acceptability of Tai Chi for veterans with PTSD symptoms and discuss an ongoing study of Tai Chi for Gulf War Illness. Next, we will suggest potential mechanisms by which Tai Chi might impact PTSD and discuss ideas for future research. Finally we’ll review lessons learned over the past few years of doing Tai Chi research. Target Audience: Researchers, clinicians, facility leaders all interested in Tai Chi as both a treatment and a wellness activity.
