Disparities in Telehealth Use During COVID-19 Described Three Ways

by Samantha Connolly, PhD ; Taona Haderlein, PhD, MA ; Amy O'Shea, PhD
Seminar date: 7/7/2021

Description: The onset of COVID-19 greatly accelerated the pace of Telehealth adoption among both Veterans and VA providers. However, despite the marked increase in use, Telehealth has not been uniformly adopted in either group. This webinar will examine three sets of factors that account for differences in Telehealth utilization especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our presenters will discuss differences in utilization from distinct perspectives of racial/ethnic differences, broadband access, and attitudes as well as other predictors.

The intended audience for this presentation includes researchers and/or anyone with an interest in virtual care or social determinants of health, including broadband access.
