by Qing Treitler Zeng, PhD
Seminar date: 11/19/2012

Description: Free text notes are a valuable and rich source of information. The procssing and analysis of text notes require special tools. V3NLP is a flexible and end-user friendly natal language processing tool for clinical text. It is intended to help researchers and analysts to extract information (e.g. Procedures or symptoms) from free text clinical documents such as the VA TIU notes. Users can either use and customize existing processing pipelines or create their own pipelines using the processing modules provided by V3NLP. The information extraction results may be reviewed through a graphical user interface or saved to a database for further analyses. In this presentation, we will demonstrate the functions of V3NLP, with an emphasis on the new features that were added during the past year.
