Description: In this cyberseminar we will introduce phenomenological research including philosophical background and research methods. We will discuss applicability and limitations of this method in health care research. To illustrate how this approach can be applied in a health services research setting, we will describe a recent study exploring the lived experience of Veterans who require lower limb amputation in the VA.

Intended Audience: The intended audience includes qualitative researchers and their teams, students, and anyone interested in learning about how to apply phenomenological concepts to health services research.
