Description: This presentation will provide the anticipated coverage and access implications of the Affordable Care on women’s health at the time of enrollment. Issues that will be discussed include: variations in eligibility for expanded coverage options, scope of benefits, affordability and enrollment challenges, and related private insurance reforms. Issues of importance to women including preventive services, maternity care and reproductive care will also be addressed along with opportunities and challenges faced by providers who serve women. Target audience: This will be developed to brief clinicians, administrators and researchers on the ACA so they can better understand and respond to how health care services and delivery systems serving women outside the VA will likely be affected by the ACA.
