Event Description
|
Can a Health Care Intervention be Cost-Effective but still not Affordable in the VA?
Health economists continue to debate the proper relationship between cost-effectiveness analyses (CEA) and considerations of affordability. In this presentation I will discuss different ways that CEA and affordability can be integrated for decision-making and reflect on options for developing a potential budget impact threshold for new drugs tailored to the VA health care system.
Target audience: Researchers and staff within the VA conducting or using CEA or budget impact analyses to guide decision-making.
