  • DoD Liaison & Sharing - The VA-DoD Resource Sharing Intranet site offers information provided by the Interagency Health Affairs (IHA)—the central entity within VHA to monitor all VA/DoD Health Care Resource Sharing activities—including information about the Joint Incentive Fund (JIF). The JIF provides funding incentives to implement creative sharing initiatives at the facility, intra-regional, and nationwide levels. Emphasis for funded projects is on clinical initiatives.

  • Hartford Faculty Scholars Program for PhD-level social workers from Veterans Health Administration

  • HCUPnet: A free, on-line query system that provides users with instant access to the largest set of publicly available all-payer hospital care databases. HCUPnet's easy, step-by-step process allows users to identify, track, analyze, and compare statistics on hospital and emergency care. It allows users to generate tables and graphs of national, regional, and state-level hospital statistics. HCUPnet provides statistics from the HCUP nationwide databases -- the Nationwide Inpatient Sample and the Kids' Inpatient Database -- and select state inpatient and emergency department databases.

  • HSR Information Central: A free HSR research portal run by the National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology at the National Library of Medicine (NLM)

  • Journal of Rural Social Sciences (JRSS) - The Journal of Rural Social Sciences is designed to disseminate research on rural issues inclusive of a broad range of disciplines, theoretical perspectives, and research methodologies. JRSS is refereed and published in open access online format.

  • Online Implementation Science Journal - Implementation Science is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal published by BioMed Central. This exciting journal focuses on research examining methods to accelerate the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices in routine healthcare settings. The Editors-in Chief of Implementation Science are Brian Mittman, PhD, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (US), and Martin Eccles, PhD, University of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK).

  • PhenX Toolkit - This toolkit vides standard measures related to complex diseases, phenotypic traits and environmental exposures. Use of PhenX measures facilitates combining data from a variety of studies, and makes it easy for investigators to expand a study design beyond the primary research focus. All Toolkit content is available to the public at no cost.

  • VA/DoD Collaboration Guidebook for Healthcare Research - The purpose of this guidebook is to help facilitate collaborative human subject healthcare research between the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD).

  • VHA Data Portal - The VHA Data Portal is a collaborative effort among VA program offices which include: VHA National Data Systems (NDS), VHA National Data Systems (NDS), VA Information Resource Center (VIReC), VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI), and the VHA Data Quality Program to provide a central gateway to information about VHA data.
