Authorship Guidelines
Fellow VA Statisticians,
authorship guidelines for statisticians and non-faculty personnel have been topics of discussion lately, as has successful presentation and discussion. Some journals have checklists for authorship, which seems to be a worthy guideline. Please see the Parker and Berman paper here (6.8 MB, PDF), which is a VASA-endorsed article, featuring a point system for guideline determinations. It may be of use to some of you who are facing the above issues, or perhaps a point of reference or an informational tool for others of you. Feel free to email me at Rene.Rigoroso@va.gov for more information.
