Project and Award Quad Chart Guidelines

Project and Career Award Quad Charts are requested in order to provide HSR&D and ORD with a concise, informative description of the research progress and activities for each funded project and career award. ORD requires that all funded PIs and Awardees prepare and submit a one-page quad chart on their respective projects or awards. The quad chart presents a brief snapshot of the study across four quadrants of a single PowerPoint slide (see template). Quad Charts are used for a variety of planning and communication purposes. They are shared with ORD leaders for review and discussion as well as at cross-agency reviews. Quad Charts need to be submitted to the JIT system prior to funding and the Scientific Program Manager for the project will review and approve it. See links for the HSR&D template and instructions regarding content, format, and the process for submitting Quad Charts.
