The career trajectory for new nurse investigators is often non-traditional. This session outlines discipline specific strategies to enhance success of new nurse investigators. The objectives of this workshop are to: 1) illustrate a successful program of nursing research, 2) expand on successful elements of research mentoring in both rich and impoverished research settings, 3) outline practical tips for developing research budgets, and 4) elucidate tips for successful proposals to the Nursing Research Initiative.
