Abstract:

We will present an overview of studies addressing practice environment factors associated with PACT provider and staff burnout, and examine whether and how burnout might impact the patient experience. Presenters will discuss the impact of task delegation on burnout, which tasks are associated with higher burnout, and whether the clinic environment might affect the patient experience through its impact on burnout. Intended audience: Administrators, researchers, PACT providers, and staff interested in factors associated with provider and staff burnout and strategies to reduce burnout.
