Abstract:

This informational pamphlet informs Veterans about their access to their VA health records using MHV and introduces Veterans to the VHIE program. It specifically provides step by step instructions about how to access their VA Health Summary and share it with community providers to improve their care. The target audience for this education is Veterans currently using the Release of Information office. It replaces prior tools (Your VA Health Summary-Share for Better Care (My HealtheVet Online Training Video and My HealtheVet Blue Button Education and Training) and was developed for the Portland, OR site. In contrast with prior tools, this was developed in close collaboration with the My HealtheVet Communications Department. My HealtheVet now disseminates this as needed to other stakeholders.
