Dr. Banerjea is the Scientific Program Manager for HSR&D Centers of Innovation (COINs) and Resource Centers, and she also manages scientific research capacity building activities. She also has been a researcher, receiving HSR&D funding as principal investigator. Her special interest areas include complementary and integrative health, women’s health, and healthcare organization. Dr. Banerjea has a number of articles published in leading journals, such as the Journal of General Internal Medicine. She also has taught courses in ethics, research methods and social and health policy at Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey.
Dr. Banerjea earned her PhD in Health Services Research and Policy from the Rutgers University School of Social Work, her Masters in Philosophy of Science and Ethics from Cleveland State University, and her Masters in Business Administration from Kent State University.
