Description: Dr. Steven Asch is the recipient of the HSR&D Daniel Deykin Award for Outstanding Mentor. Implementation science has come of age in recent years, with significant VA leadership. As the most applied of the clinical sciences, partnership with the delivery system in implementation science is not icing on the cake, but the cake itself. The presentation will tackle the promise and pitfalls of such partnerships, with an emphasis on the work that Dr. Asch and his mentees have undertaken. He will emphasize on more junior researchers can productively engage in this work. Intended audience: Researchers interested in partnered implementation science research.
