Suicide Mortality in Vietnam War-Era Veterans: 41 Years of Follow Up

Description: In this Cyberseminar, Drs. Weitlauf and Schneiderman will present the results of two comprehensive studies of suicide mortality among Vietnam War-era Veterans, examining risk and mortality trajectories as a function of sex and deployment status, across 41 years of follow-up observation since the conclusion of the Vietnam War. They will examine variation and trends in modalities of suicide, particularly examining differences in firearm use by sex and deployment status as well as age.
