Stephanie Robinson, PhD, is an Investigator at the VA Bedford Center for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research (CHOIR) and an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Robinson received her PhD in Psychology from Brandeis University. She completed a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Services Research at VA Bedford CHOIR. Her research is centered around virtual care (e.g., wearables and sensors and accompanying patient-generated health data, online patient portal, mobile apps). Specifically, her work focuses on the evaluation and implementation of virtual care to support chronic disease management, like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and self-management behaviors, like physical activity. Dr. Robinson's work has been supported by the National Institute on Aging and the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. With a focus on COPD management, her HSR&D CDA aims to develop and test a patient-centered texting-based implementation strategy to support knowledge and adoption of virtual care. In addition to this work, Dr. Robinson is a co-investigator on the VA HSR&D Virtual Care Consortium of Research (CORE) and the QUERI eHealth Partnered Evaluation Initiative.
