Recent SP Research Findings

2023 HSR&D/QUERI National Meeting

Researchers gathered in Baltimore, MD between February 7-10, 2023 for the VA HSR&D/QUERI National meeting. This large-scale event included over 383 presentations from 328 VA researchers on a wide range of topics related to improving care for Veterans. This work included 23 presentations related to suicide prevention. A comprehensive list of oral and poster presentations are listed in the table below. Recorded suicide specific presentations have been archived here.

In addition, the SPRINT CORE hosted a Special Interest Group meeting that was well attended and allowed VA researchers to learn more about ongoing suicide prevention initiatives in the VA as well as the potential implications of the ORD realignment for VA suicide research. Overall, the event was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen the VA's suicide prevention efforts.
