Accredited CE (Continuing Education)

HSR is excited to announce that its Cyberseminar program has begun to offer sessions accredited for Accredited CE (Continuing Education)! Please read the following Q&A about this new opportunity.

Currently, we are not offering CE to non-VA employees and to individuals that do not have access to TMS.

Will there be a fee for Accredited CE?
- No, it is free to all VA attendees that have access to TMS.

Will all Cyberseminar sessions offer Accredited CE accreditation?
- Currently, the Spotlight on Pain Management (SoPM) and Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) series are accredited.

Who will be offered Accredited CE?
- MDs, nurses, PAs, social workers, psychologists, and pharmacists. Your discipline may not receive credit for every session.

I really think you should offer Accredited CE for _____.
- We agree. However, there are a lot of rules and deadlines in place. The following accreditation bodies have given approval:

• Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (JA IPCE)
• Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
• ACCME non-physician certificate option (ACCME-NP)
• American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• American Psychological Association (APA)
• New York State Education Department State Board for Psychology (NYSED P)
• Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
• New York State Education Department Social Work Board (NYSED SW)
• American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)

How do I apply for Accredited CE?

**Accredited CE registration is IN ADDITION to registering for the live session **

Attendees must:

1. Register in TMS a minimum of 1 day prior to session. Under the My learning tab, enter the appropriate course number listed below in the Find Learning Search option.

2. Register for the session in Webex by using the VA Intranet link to find the Upcoming Cyberseminar: vaww.hsrd.research.va.gov/cyberseminars/catalog-upcoming.cfm (copy and paste into your browser if you have VA network access)
3. Attend 100% of the Live Session.
4. Complete the end of series survey in TMS (Suicide Prevention survey available September 2025) and Webex surveys. Look out for the reminder email!
