Infrastructure Cores

To support the scientific work across LHS phases, the THRIVE COIN is made up of five Infrastructure Cores.

Administration

Administration Core overseen by Dr. Rudolph, is composed of an Administrative Officer, Mr. Vishnepolskiy, an Army Veteran with experience in health systems research and quality improvement. A budget analyst (Regina Bartlett) manages THRIVE budgets and coordinates non-VA grants with our nonprofit, Ocean State Research Institute. A project manager, Taylor Rickard, supports research efforts and continuous process improvements. Leaders huddle twice a week in addition to meeting for one-hour weekly to discuss ongoing operations. The Core organizes weekly THRIVE hour seminars and monthly all-staff COIN Collective meetings.

Analytics

Analytics Core is overseen by Dr. Rudolph and consists of a qualitative leads (Dr. Lind and Ms. Hathaway) and a team of analysts. Analytics supports all THRIVE projects across the Learning Health System and uses the huddle strategy to build expertise while completing the work. We have constructed relational databases using VA, Community Care, CMS, and Medicaid that involve LTSS cohorts which allows rapid cohort analyses (D2K), evaluation of program or policy changes (K2P) and emulated trials (P2D).

THRIVE Learning Community

THRIVE Learning Community (TLC) Core. The TLC core overseen by Dr. Sullivan is focused on making impact in LTSS and THRIVE's role in developing data knowledge, or performance that might inform policy. Refer to the TLC landing page for more information.

The Veteran Engagement Group

The Veteran Engagement Group (VEG) Core is overseen by Dr. Sullivan and led by Dr. Lind. VEG consists of Veterans and care partners with a variety of healthcare experiences and meets monthly. Our VEG members are well networked in RI and have been critical for study recruitment and provide vital partnership on study design and dissemination of study outcomes. Refer to the VEG page for more information.

Fellowship

Fellowship Core is led by Dr. Mills and supported by Sylvia Haigh and administrative core as necessary, organizes the recruitment, selection, onboarding, mentoring and training of learners.
