Seminar date: 6/6/2024
Description: Dr. David Chambers, a thought-leader in the field of implementation science (IS), will reflect on our progress in the field of IS research and training, and then unpack some of the consequences of rapid growth, as the field has grappled with the competing challenges of legitimacy among the research community set against the necessary integration and engagement with practice and policy partners. He will briefly enumerate a set of principles from his recent article for the field's next developmental stage to support the next generation of impactful science. The majority of the session will be a fireside chat format with the audience able to participate in an interactive dialogue through poll questions and text discussion about their differing observations from the field and how they think we might best respond as a field.
