Description: This presentation will cover an analysis of the association between the organizational aspects and access-related initiatives implemented with the patient-centered medical home model, and measures of patient perception of access to outpatient care. Dr. Schuttner will review results, examining associations of staff perceptions of the presence in their clinic of certain components, such as fully staffed teams or Open Access scheduling, and patient perception of access to routine, same day, or urgent care. Data are drawn from the Survey of Health Care Experiences of Patients (SHEP) and the National Primary Care Provider and Staff Survey. Intended Audience: Health services researchers, primary care administrators, and outpatient clinical staff.
