Description: This session provides an overview of pay for performance programs (P4P) in healthcare. We will discuss the results of a systematic review and key informant interviews examining the overall effectiveness of P4P, benefits and harms, the relationship to health disparities, and important implementation factors. Findings will be discussed within the context of applicability to the VHA. Intended audience: Researchers, healthcare managers, policymakers and clinicians.
