by Mark Hager, PhD ; Julie Weitlauf, PhD
Seminar date: 11/10/2015

Description: Drs. Hager and Weitlauf present a brief review of the empirical literature on managing the complexities of a research career in medicine/health sciences/behavioral sciences and maintaining health, well-being, and time for family. Together they will discuss lessons learned-- from their years of teaching, coaching and mentoring young researchers--for optimizing work-life balance in this context, and offer practical tips for early career investigators. Intended audience: early career researchers and clinical scientists, including those in the VA CDA program, but may also be useful to more established researchers including CDA Alumni and their mentors.
