Description: Smoking cessation for Veterans with a cancer diagnosis is vital for maximizing treatment efficacy and long-term outcomes. This presentation will describe the theory and application of a novel risk communication intervention to assist cancer patients with understanding the risk of continuing to smoke. Patient feedback on the intervention will be presented.
Intended audience: CDA community, interested researchers on telehealth, tobacco researchers, and oncology treatment teams.
