Description: This Cyberseminar is the fourth of a five part series presenting the results from the Women's Health Initiative. This Cyberseminar will address the following: 1) Vasomotor Symptoms and Quality of Life Among Veteran and Non-Veteran Postmenopausal Women: Are Veterans more likely to report vasomotor symptoms than non-Veteran and if so are they associated with health related quality of life? 2 Sleep Disturbance, Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease in Postmenopausal Women Veterans: Does the prevalence of five categories of sleep disturbance impact incident cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes comparing women Veterans and non-Veterans? 3) Hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO): variations by history of military service and birth cohort: What is the prevalence of early or any hysterectomy with or without BSO between postmenopausal Veterans and non-Veterans? This Cyberseminar series is intended for researchers, clinicians and others interested in the health of older women.
