Description: We will describe the accuracy of recent empirically tested methods of suicide risk assessment in detecting suicide or suicide attempts, and review recent evidence for interventions to reduce suicide in military and veteran populations. We will discuss challenges for future work on translating suicide prevention research to routine clinical practice. Intended audience: researchers, clinicians, and suicide prevention coordinators.
