Description: The AHRQ PSI Composite Measure (PSI-90) was designed to provide a single metric for tracking patient safety performance across U.S. hospitals. AHRQ recently redesigned the PSI-90 using weights based on patient harm. The purpose of this study was to assess whether use of the revised PSI-90 versus the original PSI-90 leads to changes in hospital profiles and payments.
