Description: Dr. Makarov will present the results of his Career Development Award focused on improving the guideline-concordant use of imaging to stage incident prostate cancer. He will present mixed methods data describing variations in imaging utilization across VHA and data describing the attitudes, norms and behaviors surrounding imaging of patients with prostate cancer and the clinicians caring for them. Dr. Scott Sherman will join as a discussant and be available during the Q&A. The intended audience: policy makers, clinicians caring for men with prostate cancer, patients with prostate cancer and their family members.
