Description: Throughout VA, there is increased emphasis on eliciting and integrating Veterans’ perspectives on health care and services. This presentation will share recent findings on the practices that are being used to engage Veterans in research. The Strengthening Excellent in Research through Veteran Engagement (SERVE) team presents highlights from an environmental scan of Veteran Engagement models and practices that are being implemented in a variety of different settings. Drs. Ono and Hyde will also talk about how collaboration with the HSR&D Veteran Engagement workgroup and other research partnerships within the VA has productively influenced this work. Intended audience: Researchers and their teams, Veterans and stakeholders interested in Veteran Engagement in research.
