Development of a Long Standing Implementation Partnership between Mental Health Services and HSR&D: Integrating Mental Health and Chaplaincy across VA and DOD

Description: Since 2010, the VA Mental Health & Chaplaincy Program and Durham VA HSR&D COIN have partnered on the development and evaluation of a series of VA initiatives aimed at enhancing the integration of mental health and chaplain services in the VA and DOD healthcare systems. The collaboration has led to a comprehensive program on implementation and evaluation in the area of expanding the implementation of evidence-based mental health practices among chaplains and mental health providers. Intended audience: Mental health providers, chaplains, administrators, researchers, and others interested in the integration of mental health and chaplain services with the goal of addressing moral injury and other unique needs of Veterans and Service Members within VA and DOD.
