Veterans’ Experienced Barriers to Engagement in PTSD Psychotherapy

Description: This seminar will use qualitative interview data from Veterans with PTSD to examine barriers to engagement in evidence-based psychotherapies for PTSD. We will compare Veterans’ reasons for refusal of psychotherapy and reasons for dropout from psychotherapy and discuss implications for the organization of health service delivery and interventions to increase uptake of psychotherapy. Intended audience: VA health services researchers and mental health providers.
