Analgesic Impact on Physical Function in Older Veterans with Arthritis

Description: Recent trends in analgesic prescribing and concerns about analgesic safety have impacted pain treatment practice in the outpatient setting. As our Veteran population ages, these changes in prescribing may disproportionately impact their care. The objective of this seminar is to inform participants about the comparative effectiveness of different analgesic types (opioids, NSAIDs, coxibs, others) on pain and function in a group of older Veterans.
