Description: Access to primary care is critical for population health and is a fundamental healthcare aim. Access management strives for optimal healthcare service use within healthcare organizations, i.e., complex systems with differing goals and strategies. This Cyberseminar will include results from an evidence synthesis and an expert panel on access management priorities, and a discussion about concrete actions administrators and clinical leaders can take to improve access management in their primary care practices. Intended audience: VHA policy makers, administrators, and clinician leaders grappling with the “wicked problem” of access management, as well as researchers studying access to VA primary care services.
