by Elizabeth Evans, PhD, MA ; Stephanie Taylor, PhD, MPH
Seminar date: 11/29/2018

Description: The Veterans Health Administration promotes evidence-based complementary and integrative health (CIH) therapies as nonpharmacologic approaches for chronic pain. We will present findings from a new study of use of CIH therapies by veterans age 18 to 54 with chronic musculoskeletal pain. We will highlight differences in CIH use by gender, and we will discuss implications for designing policies and practices to improve CIH use. Full study results were published in the September/October issue of Women’s Health Issues (Read the study: http://ow.ly/FiRL30lJ5F2. Read the media announcement online: http://ow.ly/tJrs30lQHQq). Intended audience: providers, researchers, and policymakers who serve Veterans with chronic musculoskeletal pain.
