Description: Drs. Goldstein and Oddone will discuss the development of a novel peer support intervention to promote cardiovascular health behaviors among women Veterans. Specifically, findings from formative evaluation will be presented as well as how that data were used to develop a peer support intervention that combines reciprocal peer support (bidirectional support provision) and peer coaching (unidirectional support). Drs. Goldstein and Oddone will also outline future plans for inquiry and approaches to implementation in the context of peer support.
