How to Craft a Successful Specific Aims Page

by Daniel Blonigen, PhD
Seminar date: 3/12/2019

Description: This presentation will provide a detailed overview of the critical elements to include and strategies to employ when developing a Specific Aims page for a grant application. The bulk of the presentation will be devoted towards discussion of the “anatomy” of the Specific Aims page in the form of a template to organize the document, which may be applicable for different content areas and funding mechanisms. More general grantsmanship considerations when writing the Specific Aims page will also be offered (e.g., basic do’s and don’ts). Intended Audience: This presentation is intended for researchers with a range of grant writing experience, but is primarily geared towards early-career investigators.
