Description: We will compare algorithms, identified through a systematic literature review, that researchers have used to process and clean administrative (CDW) weight data. Data characteristics and statistical properties will be presented for 12 different cleaning algorithms applied to a large sample of CDW weight data. We will apply algorithms to weights in several scenarios: overall descriptive statistics, using weight as a predictor, assessing weight change over points in time, weight trajectories over time, and facility-level metrics. Practical recommendations for researchers and analysts using CDW weight data will be suggested.
