Description: Implementation researchers have increasingly highlighted the need for longer term engagement of teams to continue to optimize new evidence-based interventions (EBIs), long after initial implementation efforts have ended. Recent sustainability frameworks have proposed dynamic, incremental processes of adaptation (e.g., Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) testing cycles) are necessary to optimize fit between the EBI and setting and in turn, to sustain its use. Approaches are needed to engage frontline teams in continued EBI optimization. The Learn. Engage. Act. Process. (LEAP) program is a virtual hands-on QI learning program designed for busy clinical settings. We present results from a stepped-wedge randomized clinical trial to test the effect of LEAP on Reach of weight management programming in Veterans Affairs (VA).
