Description: Over the past two decades, VHA has rolled out numerous initiatives designed to improve access and quality of care for women Veterans. Building on data presented in three prior volumes, Sourcebook Volume 4’s primary purpose is to present data to inform policy and program planning as VHA implements and evaluates new ways of providing care to women Veterans. Sourcebook Volume 4 reports historical data back to FY00, in five year increments, thereby providing the longest time horizon yet published in any of the Sourcebook volumes. Volume 4 characterizes longitudinal trends in sociodemographic characteristics, health care utilization and health conditions of women Veterans who used VHA in FY00, FY05, FY10 and/or FY15; it also provides information about trends in cross-facility variability in women Veterans’ sociodemographic characteristics over time. Selected FY19 updates will also be presented.
