by Cora Bernard, PhD ; Jessica Breland, PhD ; Carla Garcia, MPH ; Cindie Slightam, MPH
Seminar date: 3/15/2022

Description: This webinar will be a summary of the implementation and evaluation of a pilot internship in a research center intended to introduce students from historically excluded groups to health services research. Presenters will describe how they built a successful internship model by identifying students’ needs, crafting a program in response to those needs, and centering voices of current and former students who had similar academic career paths. All in under a year!

Intended Audience: Anyone who is interested in starting, improving, or implementing an internship program that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the student population.
